Dave's Pumpkins is an old-fashioned farm stand with locally grown fresh fall vegetables and ornamentals.
Started by David Reid in Huntley in the 1970's, Dave's family has been selling pumpkins in Huntley for thirty years,
and has always been committed to selling the freshest pumpkins at the lowest price. The pricing is simple: all
pumpkins, any size, only $5.00 each, tax included.
Dave has always believed that no child should be told which pumpkins they can afford based on size--kids need
the freedom to choose their favorite pumpkin--and Dave's pumpkins has thousands to pick from. But come early,
the supply is limited to what we grow locally, and so far every year we have sold out before Halloween.
Most local pumpkin stands and grocery stores sell by the pound or size category, and many charge over 35 cents
per pound. That can make for one expensive vegetable (well, pumpkins are actually berries, not vegetables, but
that is a story for another day.....).
